Mission:

Education Equals Hope exists to do more than simply support education, it exists to transform lives through access to learning, mentorship, and opportunity for students living in some of the world’s most desperate and difficult situations. Across countries like Costa Rica, Haiti, Ecuador, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and Madagascar, the organization is creating real, measurable impact by addressing one of the most powerful drivers of long-term change: education.

Since its founding in 2009, Education Equals Hope has helped more than 14,000 students gain access to quality education, an achievement that represents far more than enrollment numbers. Each student supported is given the opportunity to break free from cycles of poverty, pursue meaningful careers, and contribute positively to their communities. In many of these regions, barriers such as school fees, uniforms, transportation, and lack of resources prevent children from ever stepping into a classroom. Education Equals Hope removes these barriers by providing financial assistance, school supplies, and ongoing support that allows students to stay in school and succeed.

What sets Education Equals Hope apart in the nonprofit and global education space is its holistic, community-driven approach. The organization doesn’t operate in isolation, it partners with trusted local leaders and organizations “on the ground” who understand the unique cultural, economic, and educational challenges within their communities. Education Equals Hope steps into these gaps by providing critical support for children, teens, and adults at every stage of learning. This includes covering school-related expenses such as tuition, uniforms, books, and supplies, as well as investing in teacher resources and school infrastructure. By removing these barriers, students are able to attend school regularly and focus on building a strong educational foundation.
