My father passed away when I was 15 years old. After his death, going to school was not easy for me. My mother did not have money and sometimes the principal sent me back home for tuition and fees. However, my mother often said to me, “Do not give up my son – you cannot realize your dream without being educated, without going to school.”
From 2010 to 2014, I attended the Universite Publique du sud Aux Cayes where I studied Administrative Sciences. I also studied at Caribbean English School from 2012 to 2014, and in 2016, I taught English at three schools in Les Cayes. I have volunteered as a translator for an international youth camp in 2017 and as a youth leader each year since during the e=h sponsored Vacation Bible School Summer program in Les Cayes and Cavaillon. From 2017 to 2019, I was a student in the e=h Les Cayes Sponsorship Program attending the Business & Technology Institute (BTI) in Les Cayes to study Information Technology.
I do thank you all for bringing hope to me and to the hearts of many students and their families in Les Cayes and Cavaillon. Remember – “Education is the key to success and no one can have success without being educated and going to school.”
